Welcome to Barovia.
The road behind you has vanished into mist. Ahead, a few windows still burn against the dark. Somewhere above them, Castle Ravenloft watches the valley.
You and your companions have crossed into Count Strahd von Zarovich’s domain. Finding a way home will take more than surviving the road.
A world worth caring about
I care about the small things that make a world worth saving: a meal shared after a terrible night, a promise remembered, somebody opening a door when they have every reason to be afraid. Those moments give the danger its weight.
The people you meet have needs, loyalties and limits. Listening can change a situation. So can refusing a bargain, taking a risk or deciding that somebody deserves a second chance. Your party chooses what it is willing to protect.
Roleplay, discovery and dangerous decisions
Expect substantial roleplay, investigation and exploration alongside tactical combat. A battle might turn on positioning, an ally you earned or a clever use of a feature you nearly forgot. Some threats call for preparation, negotiation or retreat. When your plan works, it deserves to work.
Carefully prepared scenes, atmospheric music, visual maps and distinct NPC voices help make the place tangible. There is room between the danger for humour, awkward friendships and conversations that change how you see each other.
Curse of Strahd, reloaded
This is my interpretation of Curse of Strahd, built on DragnaCarta’s Curse of Strahd: Reloaded. That community reworking gives the adventure a cohesive foundation, deeper relationships and challenging encounters. Our table adapts that material for the D&D 2024 rules listed here, alongside my own preparation and your decisions.
You can enjoy this as your first visit to Barovia. Returning players should expect familiar places to lead somewhere different, and give the other players room to discover them.
New players belong here
You don’t need an accent, an elaborate backstory or a tragic monologue. A question, a joke, a practical plan or a few words at the right moment can change the evening. Tell me what you want to try; I’ll help with the rules and offer clear starting options when you need them.
Come ready to share the spotlight, care about your companions and engage with a strange, wounded world. Read the content notes below and ask about any limits before requesting a seat.

Content and boundaries
Gothic horror for adults. Themes may include violence, blood and body horror; captivity, coercion, stalking and abuse of power; supernatural mind control; grief and death; threats involving children or animals; addiction and discrimination. The source material also includes suicide-related themes. Discuss any subjects you want excluded or handled offscreen with me before play. You can ask for a pause or clarification at any time, and you do not need to disclose personal history to explain a boundary. We share the spotlight, respect one another and build characters who can cooperate with the party.
